"Yup, yup, yup. Phantox has got skills!"

Viewed Collection 3, then 2 and now the first ...all very good. The ethereal settings in some of these pieces (including 2 and 3) were so low-contrast that it was hard to make out some of the finer detail work. These collections realyy do deliver and there is no question Phantox is doing things right. Why is there any censoring?

"Good stuff!"

date: June 28, 2009

Looked at Gallery 3 First and loved it, but too many censored pieces so I gave it a 7. These galleries are really some of the best art on this site, but why is any of this material being pixeled? Too damn bad, 'cuz' it really messes the compositions up. Phantox has got the right stuff! Great eye for detail, good sense of lighting and color. If it wasn't for the censoring I would recommend it for the Hentai Collection ...very frustrating. I think they should either be uncensored (preferably) or removed. Phantox rocks!

"Nice art, but why so much pixelation?"

date: June 28, 2009

Some very good art! Why bother to draw so much detail just to have it pixeled out? I found it to be somewhat frustrating. The pixelation tends to detract from some otherwise really fine artwork. If not for the pixels I would be more than happy to recommend this to the Hentai Collection. Keep up the good work!

"Strange Fruit"

"Good ....but not great."

I have to say that the choice of music was superb. Love that song. Powerful imagery and great poetry. It was wise to maintain the dark atmosphere to this piece, but I found it a bit too dark. The pacing was good though the artwork was rougher than I cared for - chalk that up to poetic license and aesthetic intent. My only real critique is that I thought that it was mildly exploitive in that it was almost so emotive that it verged on being rather cliche. I would've liked to have seen something more origional in nature being juxtaposed against such an already strong piece of music. Don't think I disliked the work; I just feel you missed some real opportunities here. Sometimes the most dramatic pictures are painted in broad strokes, but not always. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

thanks for the input, it's much appreciated. I deliberately stayed close to the song with the animation, so that poeple wouldn't have to pay attention to the song and the animation at the same time, but rather view it as a whole.
Thanks.
